Most of you share my interest in either acting or tennis; and some of you, like me, actively pursue both (far more successfully than me I might add) - but for those of you who may be new to one or the other and/or simply want a journeyman's perspective on these two trades, this blog's for you!  With the 2011 tennis season now in full-swing, the Australian Open around the corner, and yet another person asking me if I see any parallels between acting and tennis, I figured I'd share my thoughts on the topic in this blog series I'll call Serving at Love (Acting Tips for Tennis Players/Tennis Tips for Actors).  I should note that I'm usually asked about the actor-lawyer relationship (i.e., DramaLaw) but: a) I think that topic's been pretty well covered elsewhere; and b) I'll reserve my comments on that for another day.  In the meantime, here's my first entry called "Meet the Ball".  Please check back often for my future posts including discussions about why even Federer needs a coach, the fifth-set "gut-check", and tennis idols with fast food chains named after them.  Questions, comments, and topic suggestions are of course always welcomed.
